Celebrating Lent!

This Easter we are celebrating Lent. "Lent is traditionally a period of fasting and repentance in preparation for Easter." Lent is typically more a tradition for the Roman Catholics and other liturgical churches, however, we want to place more emphasis on Christs death and resurrection this year and will be spending the next month preparing our hearts and minds for this celebration. We printed out a Lent activity schedule from Miiko Gibson. Here are some of the activities that we have done. Egg/spoon race, egg throw. Eggs have become a symbol of Easter representing spring and new life in Christ. We also washed each other's feet, as Christ did for the disciples.
