Shine Pictures!

Civil Air Patrol

Cadet Baker is reporting to Civil Air Patrol on Tuesday Nights.  I almost get teary eyed seeing him in Fatigues.  I don't even want to think about him growing up and leaving us.  However, I would never stop him from fulfilling the purpose that God has for him.   He is a gifted young man and no matter what he chooses to do as a future career, Jason and I will be his biggest cheerleaders.  We are proud parents!

Camping Trip To Guajome Park!

We spent 7 days camping near Oceanside.  We stayed at Guajome Regional Park/Campground.   Valerie and I decided to camp even though our husbands could not be with us for most of the trip.  We each have motorhomes and brought all 10 kids.  We had a wonderful time (minus my brief trip home due to a back injury).  Each day we spent an hour or so at the beach.  Even though we don't live too far from Oceanside, we don't go to the beach often, so our kids really enjoyed going daily.  We went on a 7 mile bike ride, ate at Ruby's, visited the Surf Museum and the kids played at the campground.  Every night Val and I planned a theme.  My theme nights included a Glow Stick Night with fun games in the dark and a Divergent Movie Night.  Val's theme nights were:  Minute to Win It and Duck Dynasty movie night.  We ate more s'mores than our body needs and played until we were ready to head to bed.

School Year 2014-2015

We have started school.  Summer break was wonderful but it is definitely time for some structure.

Dallas is 13 years old and beginning 6th grade.  I look at him and wonder where the time has gone.  He no longer looks like a little boy.  He is such a responsible, motivated young man.  He just joined Civil Air Patrol and is so self-motivated that he is even ironing his own "uniform".  He is getting up early and running a mile to train for CAP.

Brayden is 11 years old and beginning 5th grade.  He too is looking so grown up.  He continues to excel with performing arts such as acting and singing.  He is taking guitar lessons with Dallas and Jason and will be starting drum lessons soon.  He will also be in the Kids Praise Choir and Shine Co.

Providence is 9 years old and entering 4th grade.  She and Selah have just begun taking horse lessons.  They are loving "Western" riding and very thankful for such an encouraging horse instructor.  Providence will continue taking Violin, Advanced Gymnastics and be in Kids Praise and Shine Co.  Providence is our artist.  She is creative in all areas.  She can even create beautiful hairstyles.

Selah is 7 years old and entering 2nd grade.  Selah excels in all subjects in school.  She loves to help with Sawyer and she is an excellent help with laundry.  She too will be in Advanced Gymnastics, Violin, Kids Praise and Shine Co.

All the children will be participating in EMH sports on Tuesday mornings.

Sawyer is 17 months old and a busy beaver.  Each of the kids take turns for 20 minutes a day playing, reading and teaching him.  He continues to be a JOY.  Grandma Jeanne will be hanging out with him on Tuesdays and bringing him to BSF.   One of his favorite phrases is "WOW, COOL"!

We are looking forward to seeing how God is going to teach, grow and use us this upcoming school year!!!

Brayden's 11th Birthday

We celebrated Brayden's birthday at the Diamond Valley Aquatic Center in combination with our Caregiver Appreciation BBQ.  The weather was wonderful and the water slides were so much fun.  Once again, I can't believe how fast the time goes.  I'm one proud mama of all these wonderful children that God has blessed me with.
