MUSHROOMS: To eat or not to eat?

We spent 3 hours in the Temecula E.R. yesterday because Addie decided to eat a mushroom growing in our backyard. I called Poison Control and they advised me to get her to the E.R. within the hour. She was showing no symptoms of distress, thankfully. After observation for 3 hours, they cleared her to be discharged and told us to watch for certain symptoms. She is going great.

Day 19 and 20

30 hours of driving= excitement to get home.

Day 18

One of my favorite days was spent today in Branson. First we ate at Lamberys Restaurant where they throw rolls to you and added to your meal are sides that they come around and serve. Next up was watching Samson at Sight and Sound. After an amazing show, we needed some exercise before our long ride home so we went to Fritz's Adventure, an indoor obstacle course with repelling, rope courses, tunnels, slides and more. It was so much fun.

Day 17

We left Wisconsin in the morning and headed to St Louis, Missouri to see the Arch.  On the top of the Arch, we had an interesting experience. A loud alarm went off saying "fire"!!! Being 600 feet above the ground in tight quarters with many people and an emergency alarm going off is scary. Thankfully it was a false alarm. Someone accidentally pushed it. We were all glad to get back on the ground and out of the Arch. We splurged a bit and decided to stay in a hotel. It feels good to not be in the Motor home for a night.

Day 16

Today was spent enjoying the amenities of the amazing campground, Jellystone.  The kids played alot on the playgrounds, on the inflatable slides and in the pool. The adults enjoyed conversation, horseshoes and catch. Tami took me to her house to catch up on wash. We got to spend time with Brad, Amanda, Dakota, Brittany and Tami and Matt. In the evening, the kids caught fireflies and we finally got to have a campfire and eat Smores. Tami made every meal for us and brought it with her to the campground.

Day 15

We left Michigan and headed to go see my sister in Wisconsin. We had reservations for 2 nights at Jellystone Campground. In the evening, we went to a baseball game with Tami, Matt, Casey, Dakota and Brittany. It was so great to spend time with them. The weather was unusually cool and rainy. Sawyer wore his bike helmet to the game.

Day 14

We woke up to rain which caused Jason's fishing trip to be cancelled. Instead he joined us at the Blueberry Patch. Much of the rest of the day was spent packing up and running errands. Rachel made a delicious dinner for our celebration of Hyatt and Jeanne's 50th Anniversary. This special occasion is what brought us to Michigan. The girls did a cute skit, Maya danced to a song, Sierra and Providence sang and many past memories were shared. A special part of the evening was washing the feet of these 2 amazing people. Later, dessert was shared with the rest of the extended relatives and goodbyes were said.

Day 13

This morning I got to go to a local exercise class with Jeanne, Lucia and Rachel. Susie, Jason's aunt is the instructor. While we were doing that, some of the adults and kids went on Adam's boat to wayerski. After the class we went to Pentwater's  Farmers Market and got some fresh produce. In the afternoon, we kayaked through the outlet and swam and played volleyball. The boys all went on a long bikeride.  We all enjoyed the evening band concert in the park followed by a "Superpig" icecream treat.

Day 12

What a fun time we had riding through the sand dunes in a giant off roading vehicle. We also got to go see a Lighthouse. Family pictures were taken after some boatriding.  Most nights, the boys enjoy a game game of poker with their cousins.
