VBS 2018

We missed serving with Dallas this year as he was at PJOC but the rest of the Bakers participated in one way or another at VBS. Jason and I got the "privilege" of doing a short drama as Adam and Eve. Brayden and Providence helped in small groups and were each able to lead a child to Christ. Providence alsi got to help lead singing. Selah, Sawyer and Addie got to be students. Crafts were messy and good sensory activities, games were wet and wild and the lessons depicted superheroes of the Bible with Jesus being the ultimate superhero.

Strings Camp

For 3 weeks Providence and Selah partipated in the Musica Strings Camp. Providence was able to learn the basics of playing the cello and Selah was able to fine tune her skills as a violinist and play with an orchestra. At the end of the 3 weeks, all the students performed several numbers in duets as well as in an orchestra. They were amazing and made major improvements in such a short time.

Beach Trip with the Hixsons

It was a beautiful day at the beach. We celebrated Hunters birthday and enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the ocean.

Glen Ivy and Planning Weekend with Val

We started our weekend out different than usual for our Annual Homeschool Planning. We decided to rest and rejuvenate before exercising our brains. On Thursday, we went to Glen Ivy Spa with some friends. In the evening, we headed to a new planning location at a cabin in Big Bear. This year is unique as it is my last year to plan for Dallas and my first year to plan for Sawyer. While Val and I worked in Big Bear, the husbands and kids enjoyed a camping trip ay Silent Valley with the Farmers and Eatons.
