Annual Homeschool Planning Trip!

Every summer Val and I get away to plan for the upcoming school year.  The last 2 times, we have been blessed with the availability of the Hartman home for our planning headquarters.  In all honesty, we don't talk much. We go out for one meal and socialize then.  We work from early in the morning till late in the evening. We feel somewhat brain dead when we are finished but it sure is worth it.

Fourth of July!!!

We had such an enjoyable time spending the holiday at the Petersen's home.  Festivities included:  BBQ, carnival ride, swimming and a panoramic view of 3 firework shows.

Graduation from CAWG Encampment!!

Dallas and Brayden spent the week in San Luis Obispo for CAP CAWG encampment.  Dallas was in ATS- Advanced Training Squadron because he had already attended an encampment in Oregon.  Dallas got his Ground Team patch.  Brayden survived a grueling boot camp.  I am so proud of these two.  Honestly, while most kids want to enjoy the lazy days of summer, they chose to go get yelled at and improve their leadership, perseverance,  teamwork skills and physical strength.  Dallas is now heading to Model Aircraft and RC Flight Academy.

Girls Day

While the boys were away at encampment and leadership training, the girls and I enjoyed some activities that the boys would not want any part of.  I gave the girls spa style massages and then we went and got pedicures and manicures.  We then got a craft for Providence and baking ingredients for Selah and topped off the evening at Pat & Oscars.  Nana and Anabel joined us for some of the fun.

VBS

We have had the opportunity to serve as a family at Cornerstone's VBS.  It has been a wonderful week.  One of the evening's, the kids were supposed to dress up like an animal.  Providence chose to be a cat.  No one else in our family participated.

Happy Father's Day!

When I think about my husband, I am in awe of how much God has blessed me.  He truly is a man of God, a business owner who daily exhibits integrity, a husband who cares for me and an earthly father like no other.  He really is a model of Christ's love.  He leads us spiritually and cares and  provides for us with no complaints.  I know he has so much to do at work but he makes family a priority.  Happy Father's Day!!
