Sawyers 3rd Birthday!

We had a simple celebration with Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa and Aunt Elizabeth and Bella and Avery.  Gifts for our athletic boy included:  a bike, skates, balls,  and Wedgits.  We topped off the afternoon with lemon cake and long pink candles (that's embarrassing).  Mommy has been a bit busy. 

Providence is 11 years old!!!

We had 2 celebrations for Providence ' birthday.  Our cousins, the Bakers from Tennessee were visiting so we had brownies, mangos and icecream with them. Then we celebrated with a couple of friends and went ice-skating.  Her favorite gift was a roll up beam for gymnastics.

It's been a busy 2015 and needless to say, I haven't taken many pictures or blogged. As bad as it is, I'm not going to try to catch up but just start fresh.  We are camping at Yucaipa Regional Park with 3 families.  Dallas is in Oregon at a CAP encampment.  We are missing him but know that he is growing and stretching through this process.  Looking forward to what God has planned this year.

-Finalization of Addie's adoption
-Disney Cruise
-Living in 500 square feet for 5 months while our house was being remodeled
-Moving back into the house
-a year of God teaching me perseverance and flexibility through uncomfortable circumstances
-Forming our nonprofit organization called The Grafting Tree

Renovating Our Home

On July 31, 2015 we moved out of our home and into our back metal building/room.  We hired Troy Vanderwende to do an extensive renovation on our home.  We lived out back until December 20.  It was a long few months but we made the situation work even though it was not convenient.  The kids slept in the motorhome at night.  Our schoolyear was still functional so we were able to continue with that as normal.  We were also able to use our bathrooms or go to my parents house to use their facilities.  The wait was well worth it as we now have a beautiful home with 3 bathrooms and a new master bedroom.  Troy did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier.

How can it be that my sweet nephew is now a married man.  I blinked and he grew up.  I'm so proud of him and his choices.  The wedding took place in Idaho.  It was God honoring.  We had a  wonderful time reuniting  with family and friends and meeting new friends.  Our girls had the special privelege of being flower girls.  Thankful to have Meghan in our family.
