Miss Selah is 8 years old. She wanted to eat breakfast in bed and have a birthday BBQ with some friends. Selah is a vibrant, intelligent, talented girl. She loves to help with her younger siblings and she really is a huge help around the house. She is affectionate and athletic and her favorite meal is rice, beans, chicken and sour cream. Selah got a Mountain Bike, accessories for her bike, a Oregami Owl necklace, outfit for our Disney Cruise in June, pool toys, crafts, flipflops and many other goodies from her friends.

DAF Car Wash Fundraiser
Dallas has formed a group called DAF, Drone Air Force. One of the purposes of this group is to fly RC planes. It is important to have an RC Plane that the whole group can use so Dallas organized a car wash to earn the money. He made a flyer and passed it out to all the members. Many people purchased their car wash before the day of the event and they made a significant amount of money. We were so impressed with Dallas' leadership, motivation and organization during this process. He made each of the kids t-shirts and had a form for them to join. They are looking forward to their next gathering.

Timmy's Graduation from The Master's College
Well, Timmy is officially graduated from college. Congratulations for a job well done. Timmy accentuated his graduation by falling flat on the ground (purposely of course) when his name was called to receive his diploma. Many people contributed some money to encourage him to make a statement that wouldn't be forgotten. It was HILARIOUS! Unfortunately I do not have a picture of him on the ground but my mind will never forget that moment.

Hunter's Safety Course
Brayden and I sat through an 8 hour Hunter Safety Class at Bass Pro Shop. We both passed our test and got our Hunter's Safety License. Dallas joined us for the day although he had already taken the class. I have no plan to hunt but I learned a lot about survival and some about gun safety. I would like to actually learn how to shoot. I think that would be more practical than sitting in a class. I'm just thankful I passed the test.
Hemet Homeschool Coop
It has been a blessing to be part of the Hemet Homeschool Coop. Not only have the children learned a lot, but I have enjoyed getting to know a lot of other moms that homeschool and helping Valerie teach the Speech class. Providence and Selah learned a lot in their ASL class and I think they will continue to want to learn and excel in sign language in the future. Providence was able to take a sewing class and she created a headband, skirt, rice bag for aches and pains, and a baby blanket. Selah thoroughly enjoyed her Land Animals class and would teach us factoids about animals. Brayden loved his drama and writing class and Dallas enjoyed meeting some new "teenage" friends and learned a lot in his General Science and Engineering. The boys had to practice speaking in public by leading a devotional to all grades in our opening morning meeting. They also memorized several speeches, learned a bit about debate and grew in confidence speaking in front of their peers. To say that I am proud of each of my kids is an understatement. They continue to amaze me with their talents and hard work.

The Pilgrim's Progress
Brayden has always enjoyed acting and when he joined the Drama class at Coop, he was thrilled to find out that they would be performing The Pilgrims Progress. He was awarded the part of Christian, the main character in the story. He had to memorize over 100 lines and we were amazed at how diligent he was with practicing, without us having to remind him. He, as well as the other students, did an excellent job on the night of the play. We were so very proud of his hard work! God has definitely gifted him in the area of drama.
