Happy 42nd Birthday Jason!

Jason had two birthday parties this year.  The Home Instead Senior Care staff from Hemet and San Diego put on quite a celebration for him.  They all made delicious food and surprised him with a ticket to the Dallas Cowboy vs. Green Bay Packers game.  The game is in Dallas, and Jason is thrilled as he has been dreaming about going to the Dallas stadium.  His second party was with our family.  There he received a couple of Dallas Cowboy t-shirts for his big trip.  Jason deserved to be honored for his birthday.  He has such a generous spirit and is an amazing husband, father, son, friend and employer. 

Farmer's Fair

The kids had the opportunity to sing at the Farmer's Fair with Shine.  They performed several patriotic songs.  Both sets of grandparents came to support them.  We all had a great time enjoying the different festivities and rides.  One of the highlights was watching the Derby Races.

Shaver Lake Camping Trip!

On Labor Day, the Hixson and Baker families took a break from school and went camping up in beautiful Shaver Lake.  This is one of our favorite camping spots but we have not been there in a couple of years.  We enjoyed jeep riding, hiking, bike rides, a day on the lake in cousin Dillon's boat, campfires, movies under the stars and lots of delicious food.  One of the many benefits of homeschooling is that we can go on vacation when everyone else is busy with work and school and we don't have to fight the crowds. 

Seven Months Old

First Day of School!

Well, our summer vacation is over and we are beginning our new school year.  Here are some updated stats on my kids.

Dallas is 12 years old and going into 6th grade.  His best friends are the Hixson, Meyer and King kids.  His favorite color is gray and he loves to eat pizza.  He is not sure what he wants to be when he grows up but he would like to get his pilot's license and fly as a hobby.

Brayden is 10 years old and going into 4th grade.  His best friend is Hunter Hixson.  He would like to be a "singer for God"  and work at HISC.  His favorite color is red and favorite food is Lobster Bisque.

Providence is 8 years old and going into 3rd grade.  Her best friend is Macy Hixson.  She would like to own a shoe store and be a dance teacher at Shine when she grows up.  Her favorite food is Corn Chowder and she like the color purple.

Selah is 6 years old and is going into 1st grade.  Her best friends are Parker and Cooper Hixson.  She wants to be a gymnast when she grows up.  Her favorite color is pink and she loves to eat rice, drink soda and eat pizza.

Sawyer is 5 months old and loves to drink formula and eat rice cereal. 

The Ochoa Wedding!

What an honor for  Providence and Selah  to be flower girls in Sammy and Megan Ochoa's wedding.  This couple loves the Lord and is  devoting themselves to full time ministry.  We are so happy that God brought them together and know that He will use them to do great things for His glory.
