Please pray for Jason tomarrow!
Jason emailed and asked for prayer tomarrow at 6am California time which will be 4pm Africa time. He is preaching again to a group of 400-500 people. He said he is out of his comfort zone and really wants to be lifted up as he preaches and prepares. He said the country is more poverty stricken than he imagined. Thankyou friends and family for you love and input into our lives. If you want to correspond with him, his email address is jasonbaker@homeinstead.com

After a night of absolutely no sleep, Jason preached to the people in Uganda. He said that feedback from his other team members, was that the gospel was clear. This is the reason he is in Uganda. This is certainly not a vacation but a ministry opportunity to tell people about Jesus and the good news of salvation. He is looking forward to tomarrow as he will be going hut to hut in the village to share his testimony and the story of why Christ came to earth. Unfortunately, some of the luggage with tracks and other ministry material did not arrive with the team. The team brought their personal luggage as carryons and the checked baggage contained ministry materials. I was told by someone at church that they expect to get the lost items tomarrow. Again, please pray for souls to be saved and protection of the team members.

Update on Jason
So sorry about the lack of pictures. My computer is nutty and won't let me post more right now. I received an email from Jason stating that the group made it to Uganda after 30 hours of airplane/layover travel. They then had to take an 8 hour bus ride to the city that they will be residing in. He is preaching tomarrow morning. This is a first for him and he will also be using a translator. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. We are missing him but thankful to get emails from him.

Uganda!
Jason left for Uganda this morning from LAX at 9:45am. He is going with 23 people from our church to share the gospel in prisons, huts, orphanages, and participate in planting a church. This opportunity will be life changing and I am looking forward to seeing how God uses Jason in a mighty way. Jason is preaching 2 times and sharing his testimony another. Please pray for him and the rest of the team. Travel time is 26 hours. He will be gone for 2 weeks. We are already missing him. Tonight the kids and I had a fancy dinner at home with our fine china and silverware. The kids wanted to decorate and set so many candles on the table that I thought the whole table might ignite. We had shrimp, mashed potatoes from our garden, smoothies and a nice backdrop of the American flag. We are trying to keep busy as Jason is being so very missed. (Poor grammer, I know.) Anyways, here are some pictures of our dinner.
